Master Dinner

Have seen several posts about the Master Dinner. Is this what used to be called the Captain's Dinner? Just wondering as it has been about 6 years since I sailed on HAL.

Did the Captain's dinner involve dancing and singing entertainment? Our first HAL cruise was in 2007.

 

During our summer 2009 cruise, there was still "Captain's Gala" dinner on the second formal night. The Master Chef's Dinner was on the last night of the cruise.
