Has anyone done the Princes excursion of land sailing in Bonaire?

 

It looks like fun but we were wondering if it's worth the $100?

 

Since it's only 2 hours, hopefully we can also have time to spend on a beach. Any suggestions for the best beach to just relax and have a couple cocktails?

You can easily do this on your own for much less money. You'll just have to take a 20-minute cab to the track. Here's a link to the land-sailing operation with prices and reservation form.

Bonaire is not particularly known for good beaches. Closest to the pier (walking distance) is the Divi Flamingo and just past it is the Plaza Hotel. Both have miniscule beaches and will charge you $10 or so to use the facilities.

Has anyone actually done this? How much fun is it? It sounds like fun, but I'd hate to miss the underwater world. Is there a good way to do this and have a snorkel trip too?

I e-mailed them yesterday, and am awaiting their answer. Still can't get on their website. Very strange as I have no trouble anywhere else.

We reserved this excursion through Princess, but it was cancelled. We emailed directly and got no response. Anybody know what's going on?

We tried to book this with princess also and it has been canceled. Anyone able to book this independently lately? Or get on the ship and found it available?

Since princess canceled this tour I tried to email them, call them even fax. No answer at all for going on a month. I am going to conclude they are closed. :(
