firefly333 Posted February 14, 2010 #76 Share Posted February 14, 2010 Some of these TA's should just change their titles to booking agents; because that is all they do.. A TA is supposed to help you with date changes, price drops.. etc etc at no charge...:D This particular TA, the reps you talk to are paid by the hour, get no commission, as the OP said its a warehouse for shopping, but they do give 10% off the cruise portion. If the OP is getting $200 off, they booked a expensive cabin. If you book a cheap cruise, it can be $50ish, its a percentage discount. Since these folks are paid hourly wages, they arent going to get that upset the OP is walking. As he also mentioned he waited on hold 43 minutes or some such to book or to talk to them. Especially in the evening or when they first open on a Monday. Iv been wondering too how they give such a large discount to Carnival. with RCL they cant discount, so you get OBC to spend onboard for a similar amount, except they round down to multiples of $25.
