Okay, my husband and I are booked at the Benachi House (Cotton Broker's Inn) for March. Has anyone stayed here? How are the accomodations/breakfast? How is the general area, and how accessible is the Quarter from here?

I live in NO so I just want to let you know about the neighborhood. Esplanade Ave. has many nice houses. I would recommend though if you want to go to the french quarter or any restaurants to take a cab. It is too far to walk and you would have to walk through some not so safe areas. The neighborhood that your b&b is in is fine so don't worry.

I also wanted to let you know that if you will be in town on March 26, there will be a big road race up and down the entire length of Esplanade ave. so plan accordingly.

Last september, my wife and I spent a week there and stayed at the magnolia mansion on prytania street. Wonderful place to stay. Only one block off of St charles and trolley to french quarter. We paid 295.00 for 5 nites. We loved it. They have their own website with pictures and full details. The manager is

called nemo. Awonderful host.
