what to do when the weather is bad?

I'm going on a weekend bahamas cruise (rcl's majesty) this weekend with my husband. We live in Miami and it's been a particularly cold winter. We booked the cruise a few weeks ago assuming the cold spell would be over by now, but it isn't! I'm worried that we're going to have crappy weather for our trip (60s and 70s and possibly rain) but am determined to make the best of it since it's our 1st vacation in a LONG time (used to go twice a year, sadly not anymore).

I've been on 2 other cruises and have usually spent our time lying in the sun drinking cocktails. Since this may not be an option (and we decided before the weather was even an issue that we wanted to try the more fun stuff this time) what does everyone usually do??? What do you do when it's too cold to do beach/pool stuff? What about when it's raining? I'm not that into gambling (I get bored) so spending the weekend in the casino isn't really my idea of a good time.

Thanks!

Get some good books/magazines. Play some games or cards. If your ship has a theatre go watch a movie. Play bingo or trivia games. They usually try to have more inside activities if the weather is bad. Go to the spa. Just some ideas in case the weather is bad but hopefully it will be warmer and sunny!!

Bingo, trivia, name that tune, reading a good book, cooking demonstrations, dancing classes the list goes on and on. Just look at the daily planner and you will find something starting almost every 30 minutes if you are so inclined.

Don't worry about the rain. Of course it isn't as much fun as when it is warm and sunny, but you can still have a great time just relaxing. Especially if you haven't had a vacation in a couple of years.

I feel your pain....my idea of a vacation is sunning by the pool or on a beach....

Our 1st cruise had crappy weather....and while I enjoyed the novelty of the cruise itself, I certainly didn't have the good time I was hoping for. A book is fine, but I can read at home! Not so much into board games, bingo or "structured" activities....we did wander in port and explored places we had never been.

I do hope your weather will be fine....and it will certainly be better than our Virginia weather is supposed to be!
