gquest Posted January 21, 2005 #1 Share Posted January 21, 2005 http://www.marinelog.com/DOCS/PRINT/mmipods.html http://hmaa.itgo.com/project.html Does anyone have any additional information or experience regarding ships that have podded propulsion units? The above articles mention that the newer ships(Valor, Paradise, and Elation), who use this technology, experience less vibrations in the aft. I am currently booked on the Valor, room 2478 (main deck), I and wanted to know if anyone has ever been on a ship that uses this technology. Any past Valor cruisers notice any difference or have any knowledge on the subject? Thanks...George
skiorcruise Posted January 21, 2005 #2 Share Posted January 21, 2005 I felt the Paradise was very smooth and vibration free last Sept. I expected more vibration than I felt. It had been a long time since I was on board any large ship, so I'm not sure how valid my observations are.

steveNcindy Posted January 21, 2005 #4 Share Posted January 21, 2005 We were in an aft cabin (8272) on the Legend last week and felt very little vibration.
