hi2you Posted March 3, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 3, 2010 Does anyone know if they offer Zumba onboard, especially Liberty? What other fitness classes are offered, or where would I be able to find a listing? Are they drop - in classes or do you need to sign up? When do you sign up? Thanks. Eagerly awaiting Liberty in 73 days.
Shooty Posted March 3, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 3, 2010 I LOVE Zumba and think it would be a riot if they offered it on a cruise ship. I have only seen spin and yoga classes on my last cruise, but maybe since Zumba has taken off so much that they will get hip and offer it.
Barbluvstocruz Posted March 3, 2010 #3 Share Posted March 3, 2010 Last week on the Freedom they offered Spinning, Yoga and Pilates. I think they also had some stretching type morning sessions. I did not attend any of them. I just hit the cardio a couple times. I was also hoping for Zumba. :)
hi2you Posted March 3, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted March 3, 2010 I think I will send Carnival an email and try and find out if we can get it onboard.
gatormama Posted March 3, 2010 #5 Share Posted March 3, 2010 The fitness classes are minimal. Some spinning and yoga. There is a fee. They most likely will not have Zumba as the club has to pay a fee to Zumba or have a certified Zumba instructor to offer the classes. Same with anything by Les Mills. It is a $25 per class per month fee for his classes. Sue Carnival Freedom 8/22/09 Carnival Imagination 3/15/
mrsneurotic Posted March 3, 2010 #6 Share Posted March 3, 2010 Some of the classes are no charge. When we were on the Conquest last year they also had a fitness challenge, where they held classes everyday and a contest to see who could actually lose weight on the cruise. browneyedwoman Posted March 4, 2010 #7 Share Posted March 4, 2010 I think a water aerobics class would be fun but it might be difficult with all the kids on board.
hi2you Posted March 5, 2010 Author #8 Share Posted March 5, 2010 I emailed Carnival and Zumba wasn't on the list of available options unfortuneately - oh well, will still be an amazing time. The water aerobics would be cool - they could offer it before the kiddies are up and about. Does anyone know if any classes are offered on deck outside?
