How obstructed is Cabin 8504 from Majesty of the Seas?

Hello. I have booked an exterior view warranty at Majesty of the Seas and RCCL has asigned us cabin 8504.

 

I have read posts here, and I am really woorry about my Obstructed View cabin. Does anybody know how obstructed will be our cabin? Has anybody got a photo of this obstructed view?

 

Is there any contact from RCCL that I can ask for a change in my cabin, same deck?

 

Any advice will be welcome!! Thanks

We were on the Majesty in Nov 09- deck 7 is the deck you can walk all the way around outside. There are signs posted on deck 7 no noise, no walking, etc after 10PM (Ithink) so the cabin there would be quiet. I would assume deck 8 would be obstructed by the lifeboats hanging on deck 7/8. Also, one side of the ship is a smoking area on deck 7, so there would be people out there all hours smoking, but it was never noisy late at night on our cruise. Hope this helps!

Do you know if there are smoking and non smoking rooms? Or, are all rooms non smoking?

 

I think smoking areas are located outside, aren't it?

All cabins are non-smoking. You are allowed to smoke in designated outside areas and private balconies.

yes, all cabins are non smoking- I think you are going to be looking at a lifeboat out your window. While walking on deck 7 if you look up the lifeboats are hanging above from the next deck. There is some space between the boats, you might be lucky and get one of those cabins???

We love this ship, it is smaller, very clean, crew is very accomodating, and Ricky Matthews the cruise director is a ton of fun.
