cprincess Posted May 27, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 27, 2004 For those who have been here, how is the snorkeling? And do they have chairs? Or do you need to bring along your beach towels to sit on? sangoofy Posted May 27, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 27, 2004 Went there 2 yrs ago, practically had beach to ourselves. Used our Beachtowels from Carnival to sit on. Snorkeling was awesome and water crystal clear. Even saw some wild burros walking along back of beach. Refreshments and water sport rental hut right there as well as bathrooms and full changing facility. Mag1988 Posted May 27, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 27, 2004 We went a few years ago to St. Johns. Away from the main town area, there is very little in the way of buildings. Most of the area is protected land. Our favorite was Watermelon Bay. There will be places to rent equipment, but I reccomend bringing your own. jean-lynd Posted May 27, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 27, 2004 I didn't see any chairs at cinnamon when we were there. We took one of thcse "neat sheets" and it worked out great to lay it down under our towels. It was a great way to keep wet things away from the sand so that we did not bring half of the beach home with us. I have some pictures of the beach in my explorer albums at http://community.webshots.com/user/jean_lynd if you want to see it for yourself. I hope this helps! sangoofy Posted May 27, 2004 #6 Share Posted May 27, 2004 To Cinnamon Bay - we took taxi from Havensight Dock to Red Hook Ferry to St. John, taxi to beach. Picked up another taxi and did the reverse a few hrs later. Really easy and fairly inexpensive Roll Call AOS 6/13/04 click here
