Abberboo Posted March 8, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 8, 2010 Hi guys, I am taking a land vacation to Barbados in April for a week. While researching things I want to do while I am there that I havent had time to do while there on a cruise I found Sam Lord's Castle. So its totally closed, you cant even go by and take a picture or is it possible to see the outside still, does anyone know?

Abberboo Posted March 8, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted March 8, 2010 That's a shame. The pics look great, thanks for replying so quick I really appreciate it!
NHRedSoxFan Posted March 9, 2010 #4 Share Posted March 9, 2010 It is a wreck, but you can still go in and walk around the beach area and old pier. I'm going to Barbados in April also. I read your post about renting a car. It's a good idea to have a car so you can see more of the island. Bring a compass for the rental car. It's easy to get lost out in the countryside and the signage is nonexistent in some areas.
Johnthed0g Posted March 9, 2010 #5 Share Posted March 9, 2010 If you do get a car beware that there are people stopping tourists cars to offer help then demand money, it has started to get nasty too, especially up in the Cherrrytree hill area. Cherry Tree Hill has been like that for some time now but the local cops seem incapable, somehow! -go figure.. If/when it happens, it usually happens to folks who rent their own cars as opposed to coachloads of cruisers on island tours. I believe many tours now avoid the area for that reason. .
