Marseille shore excursions

Could anyone recommend private day tours from Marseille?

When we were in Marseille a couple of years back, we jumped the shuttle down to the port and spent the whole day alternating between shopping around the backstreets and chilling with a drink watching the yachts in the harbour. Decided to go for a quiet day as (a) none of the local attractions particularly appealed and (b) the town centre itself was well worth the visit !

Mary, We assume you are aware that private tours in France are very expensive (most private guides charge hundreds of Euros for a tour). We can give you quite a few suggestions if you want to do things on your own (such as simply taking the train to Aix en Provence) but when it comes to tours we just wish we were in France so we could take your 500 Euros and drive you around :)
