Carnival Valor Cruise

I’m looking into going on my first cruise. I know I would like a balcony room. I want a less noisey room as I read that some floors/rooms are nosier than others and I would like to get toward the middle of the board (less rocking). Any rooms/levels you would recommend on the Valor?

Do you know of any good ways to get a discount for first time bookers?

yes, deck 7 is one of the best for being between cabins. our last room on the valor was deck 7, and it was near the atrium. we had noise from the atrium band the whole cruise. it was still a good location though.

we had a room on deck 8 last month on the victory, never again though, the deck chairs were as bad as people report.
