Hobiecat01 Posted March 16, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 16, 2010 I just went down to my TA and picked up our "real" cruise docs for our 4/17 Oasis cruise. On the way home I was bathed in sadness as I realized this will be our last "Doc Dance" since all of the new bookings have e-docs. Don't get me wrong... I love progress, but I have to say that I will greatly miss the printed docs and luggage tags. Just having those in your hands 4 weeks before you cruise makes your cruise real. At our home, it signals the final cruise clothes shopping, the beginning of packing, losing the last five pounds and figuring out who will feed the cat while we are away. I guess I will have to frame these docs and hang them on the wall in my basement rec room along with my record album covers. :D Damn... getting old does suck... next thing you know I will have to get rid of my 8-track tapes. ---------------------------- Sea ya! Sixtynifty Posted March 17, 2010 #3 Share Posted March 17, 2010 I did not know we would no longer receive a "real" doc. Have a cruise on the Radiance for Alaska this summer. Also love receiving the real one in the mail! I will be prepared! Loved it when mine for my March 20th (yep almost here) arrived. Thank you for the info! welove2cruisedou Posted March 17, 2010 #4 Share Posted March 17, 2010 What if someone doesnt have a computer? How will they be able to print them out? Not unless, you go to the T/A and they print them for you. I love the book also. I went on a Carnival cruise this past November and I had to print the docs off. I really like the document book also, it just looks neater and you dont have to worry about losing any important papers from the book. Guess, I will have to put all my old docs together and make a collage..........

If you don't use a TA, you have to contact RCCL and get them to do it. I think (I've heard confilcting info...) that there is a cost involved if RCCL has to print them out. Your TA may or may not transfer that cost to you, depending on your relationship to your TA. (We have had the same TA for 18 years!). ------------------------------- Sea ya!
