Our San Jose Sharks won again...Devin is on a roll which I hope continues for a very long time.

Us too! We're lovin this. Another big game tonight. Poor Logan got beat up last night. Niemi sure looks good, hope he doesn't burn out before the playoffs.

A co-worker and I were talking about this...in the beginning he didn't think much of the SJ goalies. Now he is talking positively about Niemi. We need to overcome the immediate flame out...a STANLEY CUP in the Bay Area will be a wonderful addition to the World Series trophy and the Orange Bowl one too! They say good things come in threes...

Yeah I heard it is now tied!

Sure did. DVR'ed it and just got done. Thank you Patrick, again!

Niemi is playing like he did against the Sharks in the playoffs last year. I think it just took him a while to get comfortable with his new team and visa versa. I hope Boyle is ok, got hurt towards the end of game.

They truly are playing like winners...let's hope that Dan can recover in time for the Flames. I love hockey but it can really be brutal in many ways. I had to play field hockey in junior high and it was no fun! The ability to ice skate and also play takes great skill! Love the color teal!

Hi everyone I love all this talk about our SJ Sharks. I must confess I have not been watching the games lately though it sounds like I should. We have been on the Skarks bandwagon for many years even attending many games including a few playoff games.

Janice sorry about not being able to join you for dinner last weekend. We did have a very nice visit with our son and his wife. My work schedule really is not so great lately. I'm back to working Saturdays for a few weeks :( the best thing about that is its usually really quiet and no bosses in sight. I bring my laptop and catch up on things that are blocked here on my work computer.

I got a virus on my home computer 2 weeks ago so I had my computer guru take it. I finally broke down and bought a laptop. Seems everyone in my house has a laptop but me well not anymore.

Luckily my computer guy was able to save all my photos. I kept saying oh I need to download those photos on some type of memory card before I get a virus and lose them all. He installed a new hard drive and a external hard drive so once I clean up all my stuff he will back it up on the external.

I have the honor or heading a SLOT PULL for our next cruise. Guess what I've never even done one so I am going to be searching for information on what I need to do to organize this.

I hope you all have a great weekend.

Hello Yvonne...fellow Shark Fan too!

I am so thrilled that they repeated and won again! THIS TIME it was a little too scary for moi. Patrick and I have organized a few slot pulls so we can give you some tips...actually DH is the brains behind the whole fun event. So we will have to get together at some point.

Have fun at work tomorrow!

Carol, we have organized two: one for the Explorer and one for the Mariner. Did I get t-shirts donated on the Mariner from the Casino Mgr.? I am thinking that this was for this cruise.

On the Explorer I encouraged the cruise photographer over to film that slot pull for the Cruise in Review; that was a special memory.

Gee it sounds like I already hit a jack pot I feel so lucky that Janice and Patrick have some experience with slot pulls. Thank you so much Janice yes we do need to make another date so we can get to know each other better. Also so Patrick can share all his slot pull knowledge :D.

Looks like we did get some dusting of snow on our hills it looked really nice driving into work today. The hills of Saratoga were dusted in white snow. Burrrr it is chilly 38 right now in Palo Alto I don't believe it will get much warmer than that.

Any Academy Award parties going on in your homes tomorrow? I usually invite my Mom over since its one of her favorite annual events.

Time to actually do a little work here at work  have a great weekend all.

Yvonne, it was a bummer waking up to no snow on our bit of grass...however, it is chilly out there. Hope your Saturday flies by it should since it is past noon now.

We are invited to a friend's home for their annual OSCAR BASH. However, I think we are the only other couple this year. Patrick has the record for most wins and we rarely see one of the nominated movies; I prefer the classics. I get disappointed nowadays when I see something although I have heard wonderful things about "The Kings Speech" and "Black Swan".

Yes we would love to reschedule dinner!

Thanks Carol and Janice! Had a great day. Went to Half Moon Bay for some chowder at Sam's Chowder House. Sat outside and watched the ocean. Been a very busy weekend and was nice to have a couple days off to relax.

Sharks squeeked one out tonight. A win is a win

We went to SJ yesterday to watch the boys practice. They sure look sharp. Karen wanted to get her Coutre jersey autographed too.

Carl, so grateful that they managed to WIN!

FYI, Karen get her autograph? Isn't Logan (+ 2 others) going to be in Cupertino this Sunday at the Bowlmor?

Yes, she did get her jersey autographed. Logan is really a nice kid. He stopped on his way to the locker room to sign several autographs.

Did you go to the Shark's Ice in SJ? How wonderful to get his autograph...I am sure that Logan will go far in his career!

Yep, sharks ice SJ. It was fun. We go to training camp every year too.

I can hear the game in the background...so where is training camp? That must be interesting! We are lucky to have some wonderful sports teams in the Bay Area!

GO SHARKS!

Happy Saturday all sorry I've been MIA lately a few things going on that seem to be eating up my free time. My daughter (25 yrs), her friend, my son (21 yrs) and his friend decided to join us on our next cruise. So I was busy booking their cabin and airfare trying to decide on which cabin to book them.

Last Saturday we found out our old Mercedes has a leaking head gasket which is not worth repairing. That means we are car shopping. I am a fanatic when it comes to doing research on almost everything I do. So my dilemma is which car gets great mileage, is reliable, low maintence cost, has all the bells and whistles we've come to love, good safety record, and last but not least is fairly affordable. Please feel free to make suggestions ALL :) Probably not looking at brand new unless the price is too good to pass up.

So Janice a birthday celebration at Five Guys Pizza  Who's birthday.

Hello Yvonne!

I'm sorry to hear about your car problem; can you get a deal from your work? Patrick and I both have Honda's: 2004 Accord (moi) & 1995 Civic (his). We both have found that our cars have been very dependable and overall good on gas mileage. I don't think that the price of gasoline once it hits over $4.00 per gallon is ever going down again. I really feel that we are once again getting manipulated by the big gas companies. Anyhow, we have many friends too who are very happy with their Hondas.

When we went to a car show last year I was impressed with the hybrid Ford Fusion that I think said it would get 70+ miles per gallon. Another friend loves her Honda Fit but not sure that it gets better gas mileage than the Civic.

Yvonne is this the first cruise for your kids? How special that they want to accompany you! FYI, would you splurge on a big family suite?

...the birthday was for a friend: Patrick had his birthday on GroundHog Day and mine isn't until November. DO you have any celebrations coming up? We should try to coordinate something in the near future.

Enjoy your Sunday!
