I'm looking for recommended excursions or activities at these ports. We are also going to Costa Maya and will be visiting the ruins there.

Please no recommendations that involve swimming or "encounters" with animals - this does not include snorkeling/diving in open water or horseback rides. I also hate huge group tours (the size that require a coach bus).

One of those days I want to lounge on a really beautiful beach. I'm not sure which port of those three has the best beach and I don't need many amenities, just a clean bathroom really! I'm also interested in snorkeling.

Thanks for your help!

I see you are a new member. Welcome to Cruise Critic. :)

Which cruise are you on? We are sailing on the Solstice in May and have the same itinerary.

I've seen many excursions listed on the Celebrity website with snorkeling right off the beach. If you don't want to book an excursion through the cruise line the names of the beaches and their locations should be a great help.

Also, there is a ton of great information on the Ports of Call section of Cruise Critic. Just click "boards" in the orange box at the very top of the screen and the link will take you to all the different boards available. The Celebrity roll calls are called Connections. That is also a great place to get ideas.

Have fun planning your cruise!:D

The ports of call board is great but doesn't help with comparisons. You might want to try reviews of your itinerary to see what people enjoyed in port.

One suggestion for Grand Cayman is Rum Point --you can rent a car and drive there (left side of road). The boards have recommendations for private excursions for other ports -- several people have raved about the beaches in Roatan.
