GSC Weather?

Hi,

I am on the Jewel next week and a week from tomorrow we will be at GSC. Can any recent visitors to GSC tell me if the air and water were too cold to do a beach day? Thanks

I'm glad to hear you had great weather in March. We will be at GSC next March. We sail from NYC on March 13 on the Jewel. What is the beach like? Gentle slope? Soft sand?

Beach was nice...but small...NCL is working on expanding the island

I'm glad to hear you had great weather in March. We will be at GSC next March. We sail from NYC on March 13 on the Jewel. What is the beach like? Gentle slope? Soft sand?

 

I guess the terms gentle slope and soft sand are appropriate when it comes to GSC. The slope is steeper where the tender beaches to let you off. NCL is revamping the island, so that the tenders let out in a man made cove. Don't know when that will be done though.

 

The nicer beach area, and snorkeling is to the left as you get off the tender. To the right the beach used to be a bit rocky, but it was also less crowded. Don't know if NCL has re-done the area to the right or not. I think they're planning to re do it though.
