drumline13 Posted March 31, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 31, 2010 This is going to sound snobby, but this strategy makes sense...if they will let me do it... I have 4 cruise credits currently, so I am officially "Gold" status. If I book one of the 1-Day Princess cruises (i.e. Canada to Washington State) for $140 or so (for 2 people), does this count as my 5th cruise? Do I have to show up for the 1-Day cruise?? Or, can I book it, not show up, but still have it counted as my 5th cruise? I am asking because, after my 5th cruise, I will have "Platinum" status. With this status, there are added benefits....and $100 internet package credit per Platinum member, etc. So, if I can get away with becoming a Platinum member (along with my wife) for $140 or so, I'll earn more than that in credits for my next "real" cruise. Thanks in advance!
paul929207 Posted March 31, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 31, 2010 A one day cruise does count, so after the Vancouver-Seattle one you would be Platinum. I am not sure, but I believe you do have to show up for the cruise. Also, The internet credit depends on the length of the cruise $75, $100 or $200. Toto2Kansas Posted March 31, 2010 #3 Share Posted March 31, 2010 Yes, if you sail on a one day cruise it will count towards your Captain's Circle status. NO, if you don't show up for the cruise, it will not count, you must be onboard for it to count even if you forfeit the cruise fare as a no show.
