Crowds at Las Caletas, Compare to Yelapa?

I keep hearing that it's very crowded at Las Caletas. I don't know if avoiding going on the cruise ship days will make a difference during a holiday week (Presidents' Week). Any comments on this? How does Las Caletas compare with Yelapa overall? The Vallarta Adventure website says you may see whales on the way to Yelapa but there's no mention of that on the trip to Las Caletas.

I can't speak for myself but my tablemates ranted and raved about

Las Caletas the next day at dinner. They said it was very private and

secluded with a lot of little nooks where you could just be alone. They

also said they got the best massage ever there. So much, in fact, they

said they would fly back from Phoenix just for that. They had a wonderful

day and they were on their honeymoon.
