Why No Beer Package ?

Relatives travelling on Celebrity Eclipse in a few weeks time, where telling us about the various drinks packages on offer - given Celebrity is owned by Royal Caribbean - just wondered why they do not have the same packages across both brands ?:confused:

I´ve commented on another thread about the "owned by the same company" argument yesterday, but I think it fits here as well.

 

RCI, Celebrity and other cruiselines are owned by the same parent company - RCCL, but why should they offer the same stuff and follow the same policy? If they would, there would be no need to operate several brands within a company. RCCL wants to offer several different products to attract different customer bases for their brands. Making them all the same wouldn´t make any sense at all.

 

BTW, it´s the same with other companies as well. Carnival does not follow the same rules and policies / offer the same products on their various lines like Carnival, Princess, Costa, Cunard, Seabourn, HAL, Aida......
