visa requirements on middle east cruise?

Just wondering if there are any other Australians travelling on the Dubai to Savona Deliziosa cruise and if so what have you been told about required visas, in particular, Yemen?

Hi there. We're doing this same trip in 2011 and I'm struggling with the same issue. Can you let me know how you got on - especially with Yemen, but also Oman.

We are doing the Deliziosa trip from Dubai to Savona in April and note that Aden (Yemen) has been dropped from the itinerary, no doubt due to the unstable situation there. Actually I was surprised it was included in the first place. I am awaiting a reply re visas for Australian passport holders but think it is common practise for the ship to arrange 'group visas' which cover all passengers and usually allow them to disembark/embark with minimal checks and delays. If they had to individually process over 2000 passengers at each port you can imagine how long this would take . .

If you are waiting on a reply from Costa, don't hold your breath. I emailed them a few months ago asking similar information, still waiting for a response, and we leave on Monday. Pretty sure Costa organises everything, even for Australians

Have no fear. Your visas will be stamped on your passports on board by police or immigation officials of the country to be visited. It's painless.
