QM2 Feb 12 what's average dress style

We're dining in the Princess Grill, and I'm wondering how dressy the

informal and casual nights are. We'll wear long formals one night and

I'll wear palazzo pants and dressy jacket the other formal night.

Don't want to take wedding type clothes for the other 5 nights.

Also, anyone know if they serve clotted cream with the scones?

Don't remember if QE2 did.......makes all the difference.

We were on the QM2 1/15 - 1/22, 2005. There were 3 formal nights, 3 casual nights and 1 informal night. Surprised me as I took a tux and 2 sport coats with ties as I thought there would be more informal nights. So I wore a sport coat 2 of the casual nights and a jacket and tie for the informal night. Just a button shirt and slacks for the last casual night. Wore the tux for the 3 formal nights. There were some tuxes and some suits and ties for formal nights.

The afternoon tea in the Queens Lounge did have scones with clotted cream and preserves after the first day. We asked for scones the first day and they didn't have any. We mentioned it at our table and our waiter said "WHAT". He couldn't believe it. We had an after dinner drink in the QL later that night and said something to the bartender and he also couldn't believe it. He went immediately to the Maitre D of the QG to find out what happened. He came back and said there would be scones from then on and there were.

We are going to be on the 2/12/05 cruise in the P catagory. However, we got a GTY assignment, which means only a guarenteed space. I am curious if you got a specific suite assignment.
