We are booked on an Asian Cruise w/China being the main itinerary. I know that China request visitors to have a Chinese VISA, Does Azamara assist in obtaining the Visa or do they require passengers to aquire it on their own?

We had been on the Azamara Quest which sailed from Hong Kong - stayed there for four days prior to the sailing - in February of this year and we did go on the Viking River Cruise which essentially covered Beijing, Xian, the Yangtze River and Shanghai.

We will be on the Quest (again!) next March which will cover three or so ports in China.

And as it is a cruise with multiple entries into China, you will need to get a Chinese visa. There are services on-line to obtain the visa unless you reside in a city where there is a Chinese consulate that issues them - or in D.C. at the Chinese Embassy.

You do not need a visa if your trip is solely in Hong Kong.
