Crowne Plaza Ft. Lauderdale?

Sailing on the Oasis May 29th - thinking to use hotel points to stay at the Crowne Plaza State Road 84 Ft. Lauderdale

 

Has anybody stayed here? Appreciate any comments, thank you

Stayed there for a business trip in the area...really depends on what you are looking for. New and clean but not really near anything. It is fine for just a place to sleep.

We stayed there 2 nights pre cruise 18th march ...hotel is new so every thing is nice and fresh nice size rooms good bed its a bit high .walk in shower....check in is on the ground floor its a bit sparse and not very inviting only 3 counters so could be a delay checkin in/out you have to go to floor 5 for restaurant/bar/pool area ect..did not eat at the hotel ... think it a hotel is just for the cruise port as its been said nothing around . a dennys and a few fast food just up the road a good walk away ... check out on cruise day they have there own van which runs every 30 mins to take you cruise terminal by mid day there was a long line waiting for the bus to return think they need a larger bus or 2 buses it may be sorted by now . we had a car rental by dollar just over the road so used there transport it was much better .. all in all nice hotel handy for the port
