krmckee Posted May 6, 2010 #1 Share Posted May 6, 2010 OK, these may be silly to ask but I ran a search and couldn't find an answer. My kids drink warm milk - is there a way to warm up milk on board. If there are no microwaves, can you order warm milk via room service? Also, what type of coffee creamer do they use on board? Regarding Camp Carnival and 'dining with your friends', I noticed that meals happen on the Lido deck. I assume after the meal, the youth staff will walk the kids back to CC? We are sailing the Pride in a few weeks. First time cruising with kids, wish me luck!!! Thanks!
momofzeke Posted May 6, 2010 #2 Share Posted May 6, 2010 Hmmm, no microwaves that I know of. You could probably get warm milk in the dining room, and probably from room service. But on Lido in the buffet, I don't know, unless a server would be able to take it back and warm it for you. Coffee creamer.....room service will bring you a little pot of cream, I think it's 1/2 & 1/2. On Lido, there are containers with cream or milk for your coffee near the coffee station. In the dining room, they bring you a little pot of cream also. Don't know anything about Camp Carnival, sorry. The Pride is a great ship! She was our first cruise and we loved her. Enjoy! :)
kr8z Posted May 6, 2010 #3 Share Posted May 6, 2010 CC, you drop kids off on lido deck and CC walks them back to camp. You can possibly put the carton of milk in a bowl of hot water to warm it up a bit. They have hot water for tea on lido.
Reunioncruiser Posted May 6, 2010 #4 Share Posted May 6, 2010 We were on Pride 7/09 with kids in both 6-8 and 9-11. They all chose to eat with us in the MDR each night. But they do escort the kids to and from the lido deck (or wherever else they may be going). In fact you will find a 15 minute window where you won't be able to pick up/drop off your kids because they are in transit. Have a great cruise! No microwaves, but the tap water is scorching hot in your cabin if you wish to place the bottle of milk under hot running water for a bit to warm it up (plus it's much safer and better for the milk than microwaving it). krmckee Posted May 6, 2010 Author #6 Share Posted May 6, 2010 Thanks guys! I guess it's time for my kids to start enjoying cold milk! Can someone set me straight on the whole power cord issue? Are they officially prohibited now???
