JJPacer Posted May 15, 2010 #1 Share Posted May 15, 2010 We did a catamaran boat tour to Norman & Peter Island. The snorkeling was just OK. Not many fish to see. No coral. There are a couple of small caves at Norman. You can swim into the caves, but there is nothing in there. Peter was not a pretty beach. The sea gulls were fun to watch as they dived for fish. Personally, I would not do this excursion again. I did not feel it was worth the time or money. I would visit the Baths, if the water is calm. When we went to the Baths in Feb. the water was very rough. You could not get in. Or I would take a taxi for Brewers Bay or Smugglers Cove, or tour the island. Just my opinion. Toasty Destinations Posted May 24, 2010 #2 Share Posted May 24, 2010 Just starting to plan for a January 2011 sailing, and had heard about Norman Island. Appreciate the heads up on the snorkeling from someone who's been there!! Thx!
rebelrum Posted July 8, 2010 #3 Share Posted July 8, 2010 My wife and I did the on-board snorkel trip to the Caves in 06 or 07 and I thought the snorkeling was great - we also stopped at the nearby Indian Islands and the coral there was perfect - loads of fish - we would recommend the sail and snorkeling. bambam2972 Posted July 11, 2010 #4 Share Posted July 11, 2010 We also enjoyed the snorkeling at Norman Island. I wish we remembered to bring our underwater camera because we saw a lot of fish.
