have just finished reading Richards ( the port lecturer ) blog about his day commentarying ( is that a word ) the panama canal... it is actually a really good read!!

Yes there are two Punta Arenas, one in Chile (we visit that next year) and Punta Arenas in Costa Rica. Also a few Santiagos. Confusing, those conqusitadors did it !

 

I hope a few of the DP pax when in San Pedro (LA Harbour) get over to Long Beach to see ye olde Queen Mary, well worth a visit.

Punta Arenas in Chile is a great visit.....

not much there,

but it shows what happenned to the country after the Panama Canal opened.

 

Its like a ghost town.

purpledragon or any one else, would you be able to capture the Dawn going in to Manzanillo tomorrow night?, as when she’s due in it will be well past 2am NZT and tomorrow night I will be asleep then, instead of been up like I am now (but going to bed)

Crikey Garry, you are a true cruise tragic, you have the 'cruise disease' like the rest of us, as diagnosed by Dr.Princess. The only treatment is to keep booking those cruises and I know you have, the 'big one.'
