24 or 48 hour Stockholm Card?

Recommended Posts

We will be in Stockholm 2 1/2 days before our cruise and I wondered if anyone advises the 48 hour Card? Is it worth the extra money for the second day? I hate to try to plan every detail to fit in the 24 hour window, but don't know if we can see most sights in 24 hours. We'll rest at some point the first day because of jet lag. If we do go with the 24 hour card, when do you recommend first using the card? Anyone care to share a good 24 hour itinerary?

Look at it this way. A 24h Stockholm card costs 395 kr, a 48h card 525 kr, so the second day would cost you an additional 130kr.

If you then choose the Stockholm card for just the first day and then want to use bus or subway several times during the second day the most conveniant way would be to buy a 24h traffic card and that alone would cost you 100 kr.

We bought the 24 hour card and wished we purchased the 2 day card. We ended up cramming a lot into 24 hours. We would have done Skansen longer.

I think you're smart to go with the 48 hour card.

We ended up using the card a lot for the HOHO ferry and bus.

Enjoy! Stockholm is a beautiful city!
