Carnival Magic Questions Only

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know if the pools are heated on the Magic? We leave on Dec 4th and my daughter wants to jump right in the pool as soon as we are on board!

No heated pools on any CCL ship and they're all salt water too.

I didn't check if they were heated on Magic, but at least one CCL pool is heated on Carnival Spirit. In Alaska, it was warmer than the hot tubs!

Could I get some opions on the Chef's Table on the Magic? We will sail the Magic again in April and we have the Chef's Table book but latley there have been some negative reviews about the Chef's Table on the Magic. Now I'm not sure if I want to spend $75 pp and have a not so great evening or go to the steakhouse....Any opinions?

This will be our second time sailing on the Magic - and I cannot wait. She is a beautiful ship with lots of entertainment and fun. We will be cruising to Belize and Isle of Roatan which will be a first for us. We normally cruise to the Caymans and Jamaica. If anyone has suggestions of what excursions we should try in Belize and Roatan, I would love to hear them. We love snorkeling, so I am sure we will be doing that in Belize, but not sure who will book the excursion through.

Let me add that Texans are super friendly too!

I must third that.

We met a family in the casino almost every day of our cruise on the Magic and had a great time chatting while having a few drinks and donating a few twenties. :D

I hope they got the thrusters fixed, I saw the Galveston webcam this morning and she was docking at 6:50.

Doug

I hope so, too. We board next week.

It will be interesting to see if they depart at 4:00 p.m. as scheduled or if departure is delayed.

Departure has been after 6 p.m. for the last two weeks, I think.

I wonder if embarkation was delayed today?

We were on her 8/18-8/25.

She left at 10 something due to maintenance on the aft thrusters. One couple in our FB group were freaking because they were to get married in Jamaica and couldn't be late. Due to 2 days at sea, we made up time and were there on time.

Embarkation was also delayed due to computers crashing during the big crush (1:00 pm). That happened the week before. Some IT guy is probably getting his rear chewed out...

No problems noted at any of the ports, and she came in and twirled about at the usual time this morning, disembarked us and left at the usual time this afternoon, so all must be well...
