Pirates of the Bahamas Beach Party excursion

The Pirates of the Bahamas beach party excursion is offered by Carnival on our cruise in May. Has anyone done this excursion in Freeport? I am looking to spend a day at the beach since nothing else appeals to me. Does anyone else have ideas for shore excursion in Freeport?

Hi Teresag....

 

We've never done shore excursions.....but have been to Freeport twice.

 

For the same price as many shore excursions, you can rent a car, drive downtown to the International Bazaar (kind of like a big shopping mall), visit Port Lucaya (neat place with an outdoor market, restaurants, bars, etc), drive over to Pier 1 restaurant (one of the better places to have lunch or dinner..and you can watch the shark feeding at certain times.
