luvscruising2007 Posted July 17, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 17, 2010 Has RC changed their availability of guarantee cabins? On the website they show guarantees as not available on-line. Does that mean that you can book a guarantee anytime or do they still wait until later to offer this option?
Rare NorbertsNiece Posted July 17, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 17, 2010 The option to post guarantee rooms is totally at RCCL discretion; there is no set time for them to be available if at all.
EGG Posted July 17, 2010 #3 Share Posted July 17, 2010 Just as an example, 2 years ago on a European cruise, I was checking every day because I had gotten 2 price drops (something that did not happen on multiple previous cruises). A balcony guarantee popped up on a Saturday morning. It was gone at 3pm.
pmdc5696 Posted July 17, 2010 #4 Share Posted July 17, 2010 I have been able to book several guarrenteed rooms by calling reservations or Crown and Anchor, even when the website said none were available.

luvscruising2007 Posted July 17, 2010 Author #6 Share Posted July 17, 2010 I have been able to book several guarrenteed rooms by calling reservations or Crown and Anchor, even when the website said none were available. When RC changed their website, they changed the way they displayed guarantee cabins. That is why I asked the question because it sounded like if you want to book a guarantee you might be able to if you call. So, what you are reporting sounds consistent. I will keep this in mind when we do get around to booking our next cruise. Thanks, all.
