My husband & I would love to river raft and see the glacier-- My parents are thinking about the helicoper to the glacier. Is it worth rafting??? any comments-- Help!!! natesfirewife Posted February 10, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 10, 2005 I have done the helicopter tour out to the glacier and spent two hours hiking around on it. I would prefer this over the raft trip. I think that in the raft you wouldn't really be able to comprehend the size or see as much as you would from the air. We went with http://www.northstartrekking.com and we made our reservations this morning to go back with them in August. Either way, have a great time. Budget Queen Posted February 10, 2005 #3 Share Posted February 10, 2005 The Mendenhall float trip is one tour I never recommend, only a brief distant view of Mendenhall rest of trip is trees and backyards.
