What is a must do in Haines??

We are taking the fast ferry over to Haines to do a float trip through the Eagle Preserve and wanted to know if there is anything else we should check out while we are there. I read about the old Army Fort. Any other ideas??

When are you going??? There are bear possibilities in Sept. Biking is good here too. Fort Seward I'll assume, nice small museum and the Eagle museum. Request their visitor guide. http://www.haines.ak.us/

We are going in the middle of August. The boys are going back to Skagway after for the Rock Climbing tour. I thought my daughter and I would check out the sites and then head back on the ferry. They usually have a kids spa package on the days the ship is in port so I thought that would be perfect for while the boys are away. :)
