Boarding times???????

WE are leaving on Rhapsody this Sunday from Galveston. Boarding is to begin about 1:00 but in the past we have been allowed to board earlier. Has anyone had experience with this lately?

We got to Splendour last year for a 2 p.m. boarding at 11:30 a.m., and got on a little before noon. We were almost the first ones. They had cookies while we waited.

We got there about 1 pm on the January 30th and waltzed right on.

We have been on Rhapsody 3 times now. We've boarded as early as 10:30 am with no problems. In fact, last time we got there at noon & we were surprised at the length of the lines! They will usually tell you that your rooms won't be ready when you board. Just go grab some lunch in the Windjammer!

Nothin' beats getting there early, being one of the first ones on, getting some chow and exploring. Usually, your luggage is also the first to the room. Happened to us in Galveston.

 

However, in Fort Lauderdale once, we got there a little early and the unloading of the previous cruise was late. We waited four hours before we were allowed in the terminal ... (and we were about three hours early). So it doesn't always work.

As the formal Meet & Mingle isn't till the 16th, we're doing an informal M&M on Sunday - 3:00 pm at the Schooner Lounge .... the group will be wearing Mardi Gras beads to recognize each other ..... hope to see you on-board!!
