port or starboard

on the caribbean b2b cruise which is the best side to be on for the sun or watching the islands go by,port or starboard,we will be in cabin 12039.

We took the b2b and we were starboard (11249). The Eastern cruise I would recommend starboard. The Western the port side had better view of islands. This is when docked. The captain backs the ship in. Now, this could change depending if he always backs in or not. (Our cruise never made it to Costa Maya, so I don't know how she anchors there)

When we arrived in Costa Maya, starboard side was on the dock. Same in Cozumel.

When we docked in Cozumel the port size was at the dock. :) We pulled into Roatan with the port side at the dock as well. Got to enjoy the dancers, etc. greeting us.

on our Western Caribbean (8/7-8/14) starboard faced Roatan and Cozumel, not Costa Maya. I would choose starboard just because I like the blue/brown carpet a lot better than the orange/brown on port side! :)
