Free Internet?

CND reporting that RCCL going to offer the above on some ships. Don't feel like wading thru the RCCL board. Any you guys heard or read anything about this topic? You'd think X ships would be good trial ground if CND is correct.

Celebrity already has a form of free internet, if you're Elite. You get 90 minutes of free internet once you achieve the Elite level. I highly doubt any cruise line would go entirely free internet because it's a pretty big income for them. Then you have the problem of bandwidth. If cruise lines offered free internet usage to everyone, the bandwidth would not be able to handle all the people wanting to use the internet. If you think computers are slow now, imagine the trouble there would be with giving everyone free internet? The system would be crashing all the time.
