stipmom Posted February 12, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 12, 2005 Just booked an oceanview guarantee for Liberty. Have never had a guarantee before. Always chose cabins in middle of ship. What is it like to have a cabin in the front or rear of the ship? Should I switch to an inside middle? Thanks
ChuckLL Posted February 12, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 12, 2005 I had U1 on the Inspiration. That's about as far forward as you can go. I missed having the window instead of port holes, but other than that I liked it. Not many people travel down the halls to bother you.
Cotton Posted February 12, 2005 #3 Share Posted February 12, 2005 I agree w/Chuck. I've had cabin E1 and also M6. I liked the 2 portholes, and had no problem w/motion, no more than in midship lower level cabins. I liked having no traffic in the halls, too. Just gave me more exercise, walking those excess calories off on my hikes to the elevator!:D The ONLY thing, which wasn't really a problem, was when we were dropping anchor at a port - a real eye-opener! Big CLANG. But, it was only for a second, and I was awake anyway.
Bunkie103 Posted February 13, 2005 #4 Share Posted February 13, 2005 We were in 6210 on the Triumph...no motion issues and that nice little deck at the bow of the ship is only steps away to compliment your balcony.
TNtraveler Posted February 13, 2005 #5 Share Posted February 13, 2005 We were in E19 on Holiday -- fifth from the front starboard on a high deck. Even in 15-foot seas skirting a tropical storm, we had no trouble. Reasonable walk to the elevator. No problem, little traffic.
mayrashke Posted February 14, 2005 #6 Share Posted February 14, 2005 We were in 1104(Spa Deck) OV(floor to ceiling window) on the Valor. Very quiet room and no foot traffic noise outside;did notice some motion on the wavier first night-but not too bad at all. Of course we LOVED the room:who wouldn't?- as we had booked an IS Quad Guarantee!!!! (at a decent price 9 months in advance).

sportsterjohn Posted February 14, 2005 #8 Share Posted February 14, 2005 I had the very front cabin on a cruise last year. Didn't have any problems with motion. Only issues is that it was a long walk to anywhere else on the ship and of course being woken up by the anchor at ungodly hours of the morning.
