RichardandMark Posted August 22, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 22, 2010 like many cruisers, our ship comes in at 8AM and our flights leave at 8PM. What is everyone doing with their luggage between landing and flying out? We figured we'd like to see The Staue Of Liberty that day. I just read on another thread that a buisness called SCHWARTZ Travel Service will store luggage for $10. a bag for the day. Has anyone ever used this service? or anywhere else for that matter? any thoughts or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

I've heard nothing but good things about the Schwartz Travel Service (they do have a website, btw), however, I have not used it myself. Which cruise are you going on and when? We're doing the 5 day NY/Eastern Canada on Carnival Glory leaving 09/

greatam Posted August 23, 2010 #4 Share Posted August 23, 2010 While I have never used Schwartz for luggage storage, I have used them numerous times to relay paper work and packages to my employees. They have always provided sterling service and no one was without their paperwork or delivery materials. They are one of the upstanding businesses in NYC. You should NOT be disappointed. 138east Posted August 23, 2010 #5 Share Posted August 23, 2010 If you are sure you want to visit the SOL and it is a weekend, you may want to reserve your tickets ahead of time, even if you are just going out to Liberty Island. From Schwartz Travel you can easily walk to 34th & 7th Ave to catch the #1 subway to South Ferry.

Rare mahdnc Posted August 24, 2010 #7 Share Posted August 24, 2010 Based on greatam's recommendation, we used Schwartz Travel on August 15th to hold a total of 7 bags including a backpack with a laptop after we got off Celebrity Summit. We used their new mid-town location at 46th St which opened on the first of this month. We were happy with the service and it allowed us to spend yet another 6 hrs to explore the city before we had to head off to the airport to go home.
