Hurricanes & Cruising

Unless it's buried already, I am quite surprised not to see a Hurricane Earl thread. Unfortunately a situation we've had to keep an eye on in the past, but fortunately never had any cruises affected. I hope everything works out for passengers out of NYC, Boston, and other possible east coast ports who may be impacted by "Earl".

Watch NCL's website for updates. Depending on where Earl is located, some rerouting may be necessary to stay out of harm's way, but your cruise may go on as scheduled.

Even if you depart later than scheduled waiting for the hurricane to pass, keep in mind that cruising on the shirttails of a hurricane can still be quite choppy; even going in the opposite direction! Such was our NCL Spirit repo cruise in Oct. 2007.

Good luck folks!
