Everglades Weather in January?

We will be in Port Everglades in early Jan what weather can we expect?

 

Will a trip on an airboat out in the Everglades be ok or a bit cold? :confused:

We took the tour the end of January. It was a little chilly at the start, but then the sun came out and it was beautiful. All depends. We have been there and it has been in the 80s, and the next year in the 60's.

We come from way up north, so for us it is nice regardless.

We have always had good luck and nice weather at the end of January in Ft. Lauderdale. It can get chilly depending on the year but for the most part it should be very pleasant and mid 70s.

This past January it was 20 degrees.

Newlife: Were we on the same cruise? I always cruise in January, girls getaway and this past year, we all took the excursion that included a trip to the Everglades and then a ride to the airport; only most of us stayed on the bus during the Everglades tour; unbelievably cold; brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

The weather is a crapshoot. I've been down there when it was 80 degrees and I've been down there when the weather was 50 degrees (last year). Whatever you decide, remember that it is not mosquito season in the Everglades so your trip should be pleasant.

 

FWIW, 50 degrees is certainly not the norm.

It definitely can go either way. We went on an airboat ride in Jan 2006 and it was 45 degrees! In 2008, it was 75!

We went to Key West in mid-January for a few days prior to a cruise from POM.... it was in the 30's....very rare cold spell but be aware it can happen.

Usually the weather in January is PERFECT, nice and pleasant. 2010 it was chilly very often in January. Who knows for 2011...........
