Berk987 Posted September 7, 2010 #1 Share Posted September 7, 2010 Anyone know how to find out how many ships will dock into FLL on 12/12/10? We'll be coming off Niew Amsterdam. Ship supposed to dock at 7am and ship capacity is approximately 2,100. I'm trying to gear how many other ships and people will be disemarking at the same time and heading toward FLL a/p. Yes, some may drive, some may stay longer, some may go to MIA a/p but there is a % that will fly out. We have a southwest flt at 11:20. We've done that flt the last 2 years w/o problems. Off HAL at 8:30ish, find bags, taxi and at the airport and checked and eating bagels and coffee with at least 90 mins to spare (knock on wood). This time we have more people in our group (6 adults, 6 kids under 6 and 3 strollers). Trying to determine if 8:30ish is still a good time. Don't know if the BIG ships with the 10,000+ people would be off loading at the same time we do. Anyone know if all ships coming back all dock at 7am? Thanks. bills blasters Posted September 7, 2010 #4 Share Posted September 7, 2010 The web site I was looking at did not show the time. We have cruised out of there 6 times, and it seems like all the ships are docked by 7, even earlier. Suppose it depends on customs, etc. as to when them start to let passangers off the ship. HersheyKitty Posted September 13, 2010 #5 Share Posted September 13, 2010 What website do you use to determine how many ships will be in port? Thanks for info in advance!
bills blasters Posted September 13, 2010 #6 Share Posted September 13, 2010 I go to cruisereport.com Then go under destinations on top. Then go to Ft. Lauderdale, and then click on ships in port. Then just check your date. There may be an easier way to get there, but that is how I do it.
Silvery Seas Cruiser Posted September 14, 2010 #7 Share Posted September 14, 2010 It may be small comfort to you with so many ships in port that day, but no single cruise ship at Port Evergaldes carries 10,000 passengers. Still, I have been at Port Everglades when several very large capacity cruise ships were there at the same time and it can get competitive for taxis and transportation.
