Majika Posted February 15, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2005 Can anyone tell me if there are mini refridgerators on the Zuiderdam? We have a VA balcony aft room, if that makes a difference. Thanks
KSCnCA Posted February 16, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 16, 2005 Yes, you get one. It will be full of the mini-bar items. We removed ours and put them in the stool for the week, then we put them all back in. When the mini-bar person came by at the end of the week to take inventory he rearranged them so he could tell easily that we had not consumed anything. teencruiser18 Posted February 16, 2005 #3 Share Posted February 16, 2005 On the first day, we simply asked the steward to remove the items in the fridge, and he did so while we were at dinner the first night.

Thanks The fridge in our balcony stateroom was locked as were the upper compartments of each nightstand. Is this the norm? We had a 12 yo with us. Do you think they lock the fridge when kids are booked until the stewards are asked to unlock them?

The minibars are locked the night before debarkation, but are normally unlocked again before the cbin is declared "ready". Probably just an oversight by the beverage steward. As to the bedside tables, weren't the keys in the locks? I've never seen that happen (there's no reason for the cabin steward to remove them). What happened when you asked to have them opened? What happened when you asked to have them opened? No keys in the drawer locks. We were so busy (just a 4-day Bahamas cruise with 3 ports) that we never bothered with either. Too busy ordering room service and hitting the Lido restaurant for the midnight feeding! Thanks for the skinny. Now, we know for the next time.
