We are doing a repo cruise and get off in Colon Panama and I am looking for suggestions from experienced cruisers on different ways to get to PTY. There will be 4 of us and all our luggage. We are sailing with RCCL if that makes a difference. The good, the bad and the ugly please.

Has anyone used ship transfers by now?

Safest and easiest: ship transfer. If your using MFM they will tell you how long. I'd plan at least 2.5 hours at airport prior to departure time. Traffic in Panama is always totally unpredictable. I'd allow at least 1.5 hours between Colon and Tocumen. Assuming the ship is on schedule and disembark around 9am your 2.45PM flight should work fine. The advantage of ship transfer and flights is that they will work with you should there be a delay. If you're on your own, you are on your own. Regards, Richard
