Melvin, where are you? :) (Sorry if this is old news).
jorapp Posted September 22, 2010 #2 Share Posted September 22, 2010 Yay for us! Great article...but...there is something fundamentally wrong about mentioning the Titanic in any story about ships. jmho
The Big Booper Posted September 22, 2010 #3 Share Posted September 22, 2010 Going on the EX this Christmas/New Years for 14 nights, for the 3rd year in a row. Can't get any better.
The Big Booper Posted September 22, 2010 #4 Share Posted September 22, 2010 I love that the writer called the Explorer a mid-sized ship. Only in the world of RCI, it is still bigger then anything that Princess and Carnival sails.

Yes, I clipped this line to post here and laugh: We set sail on the 3,114-passenger Explorer of the Seas, part of the company's midsize Voyager class :D

When Sovereign first sailed, she was a national headline as the largest cruise ship ever built. Now, by comparision, people think she's an oversized lifeboat. Statistic quoted to me while onboard the Oasis last month: "The entire crew of the Nordic Prince/Song of Norway would fit into ONE of Oasis' lifeboats."
