Questions About The Sun

Sailing on the Sun in November in celebration of my mom's 80th birthday. Can you tell me what sorts of activities they have scheduled during the day. Also, since it's one of the smaller ships is there sufficient variety of activities to keep one busy? Thx!

I'm hoping people "in the know" come back and answer. However, I'm sure there will be enough to keep one busy.

There is bingo at least once a day, sometimes twice.

Different sorts of trivia team games, demonstrations by the staff for spa related things, napkin folding, port and shopping talks. If your mom plays bridge, there is usually a daily bridge gathering. Of course, there are art auctions, which even if you don't like them can be educational.

I think there is plenty to do and I've a few decades to go til I reach your mom's age.

Even though the Sun is one of the smaller ships, I think it is the perfect size. We've sailed her four times (check out my reviews for more info) and is my personal favorite.

well remember, you will be in port a good part of the cruise, but when at sea or late in the afternoon you can do a lot, it is up to you. There are always trivia games (very popular with certian cruisers) meetings, talks, the casino, Bingo, Art Auctions, the library, game show, evening entertainment. It is up to you how busy you stay. Hopefully there will be things that interest you. We have always enjoyed a few quiet hours in the cabin in the afternoon and find plenty to do on board the rest of the time. Oh, don't forget, usually there are daily movies.
