Nachi Cocum vs. San Francisco

I searched looking for reviews of San Francisco Beach Break but didn't find much. I'm wondering if the extra $10 per person for Nachi Cocum is worth it.

I know people say it isn't as crowded as other beaches because it is limited each day to the number of people.

Just trying to figure out which one is best! We don't care about water sports and all that, just want a place to kick back, relax, drink and eat for a few hours before heading back to our ship.

We will be there in March if that makes any difference.

Thanks CC peeps!

Sounds like you want Nachi :)

I'm not familiar with San Francisco but really enjoyed our trip to Nachi.

San Fransisco is right by Paradise Beach...It's a nice club...I always walk over there when at PB. It is casual, and a great spot to spend the day, as is Paradise Beach. San Fransisco has regular umbrellas, as opposed to Nachi's thatched Palapas....and Nachi to me is more upscale...At Nachi, you are front row on the beach...there is only one row of chairs and Palapas....at the other clubs, there may be a row of people in front of you...not just the water view. For $10 more....I would certainly pick Nachi. If money was an issue, I'd go to Paradise Beach. Just my .2 cents :)

So, I'm curious. I have seen a lot of folks talking about Nachi in Cozumel and another beach of this type in Costa Maya. Both of these places require a deposit of about half of the cost. What happens to your deposit if the weather is rainy? Do they refund??? I ask this because every time we have been to Cozumel and Costa Maya the weather has been rainy and we were very glad we didn't pay up front for a beach day. However, there is nothing else to do, at least for us, in either of these places. We will be on the Oasis of the Seas in November....thanks in advance for the responses!

One place I read you can't get a refund if it rains but you will get a refund if your ship doesn't make it into port. Clarify with the reservation specialist before putting a deposit down if you are concerned since each place is a bit different.

Most you don't get your money back unless the ship doesn't make it to port. BUT...at Nachi Cocom there is a huge palapa with tables and such. If it rains head under there. You'd spend a whole lot less doing this than hitting one of the touristy restaurants (C&C or Margaritaville). And when it quits raining head back out to your chair. It's so nice...peaceful...and good food and drink.
