Bucky3 Posted February 18, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2005 We'll be cruising on Oosterdam the end of March and are interested in knowing anyone's experience with the excursion Las Caletas Hideaway. We're a family of 9 and looking for a special beach day. Thanks for any comments.
suziehmkr Posted February 18, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 18, 2005 We have not done it, but some CC friends did it when we sailed in June. They had a wonderful time and highly recommend it. You can read his review if you search by his username (mcarnett) and look for the June 2004 sailing on the Legend. Another set of friends also recommended it. We will definitely be doing it the next time we sail the Mexican Riviera. After reading this board for over a year, I have not heard many negative things, if any at all. Since you have a large group it seems it would be ideal for you because there are many different activities to choose from once you get there. CrazyforCruisin Posted February 19, 2005 #3 Share Posted February 19, 2005 We were there for the evening 2 weeks ago, also on the Oosterdam, and it is a wonderful magical place. Go and enjoy! Jodie
Bucky3 Posted February 19, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted February 19, 2005 Thanks for the replies - We debated over the day or evening trip to Las Caletas. Have never done the evening one but we loved the day trip. Looks like you live in a favorite area of ours. We have visited Belknap Springs on the McKenzie River several times and found it to be a special place with our motorhome parked right on the river. We love it there.
