Dubai - port or starboard?

For those of you that have done the seven day Dubai cruise on the Brilliance, which side of the ship do you recommend for better views from your balcony?

remember before the days of air con, when the British were going to India on ship they always went POSH (hence the expression) port out starboard home

It really depends. Dubai is one of those ports where the ship can be facing either direction. You've got a 50/50 chance.

 

Regarding Dubai, however, who has made a decision whether or not to sail there based on the slave based economy there? I was discussing this sailing with some friends who wanted the itinerary but minus Dubai because they object to how Dubai has become so prosperous (by using slave labor and jailing those who "quit" as debtors).
