Can I use magnets on Oriana/Arcadia cabin walls?

Hi,

 

We are soon going on our very first UK P&O cruise :) and I was wondering if it would be useful to bring magnetic hooks etc to hang things in our cabin and put up our map ? :) Are the cabin walls/doors metal under the paint/wallpaper?

Can't help you with the question about magnets - somehow I doubt it. However, we have taken a map with us to the Caribbean and we used some Blu-tack to stick the map to one of the large pictures on the wall. Worked really well.

on cruise ships, various, i purchased fridge magnets. i can say i tried all round the cabin, and the only place they would adhere, was the fridge! does this help? regards, mike:)

all the cruise ship cabins that i have been in have steel walls and doors.and i have often bought fridge magnets from various ports and stuck them on the wall by my bed.that also includes oriana.hope this helps.happy sailing....humpy.

Mike, I am curious about your conflicting experience, have you tried on Oriana or Arcadia? ... or are particular cabins made different?
