pictonite Posted October 24, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 24, 2010 Just returned from a cruise on the NCL Gem in the Med. Having had three previous cruises before on NCL, with my Mom, who was in a wheelchair, I was really pleasantly surprised to see that there were tables in the buffet that were set aside for disabled cruisers. (They had covered chairbacks that designated these particular tables.) They also had clearly posted areas in the main showroom - much more that the few spots allocated to wheelchairs in the past. I hope that cruisers, like my late Mom , will enjoy further examples of thoughtfulness on cruise ships!
enyliram Posted October 24, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 24, 2010 recently on the NCL JEWEL the tables had placards stating reserved for handicap passengers. as soon as a passenger, who did not need handicap table ,sat down a crew member came over to ask them politely to seek another table.
