Oxo Posted November 1, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 1, 2010 Just got off of the Solstice and purchased a Cappuccino onboard while in the Port. The Cappuccino was $4.00 Gratuity .60 and Tax .24 for a total of $4.84. I have never noticed paying Tax onboard a ship before. Is this new or not? bmarchal Posted November 1, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 1, 2010 While you are in port you must pay the state sales tax of the state your port is in. When you are officially "at sea" there is no tax, only gratuity.

What does it cost for a beer since the cheapest beer on X is $4.50 + 15% + 6% =$5.45? OMG enjoy each sip. LOL
